whats better recovery

hey, what do you think is better recovery from a major comp when you still have more race’s in the season.

1.taking a few days off with complete rest
2. getting straight into training but keeping it sub maximal for the rest of the week or even for 10days

hi guys, could i get some of your advice please.
i had a comp last fri and sat, 3 rounds in 2 days and its been 5 days since then now, im still feeling really tired, i tried doing a tempo session yesterday but couldnt get through it.
is it ok to not train until i feel completly recovered again??, i did run an equal pb in the first round and im not sure if thats what has taken alot out of me?
any thoughts on how i should approach this issue?
