warming up & mobility

well i just had a few quick questions regarding warming up.

i was gonna do dynamic stretching for speed days and special endurance days but i wondering on tempo days would it be good to do static stretching with like drills ( high knees, A & B skips etc.)?? or should i just stick with dynamic stretching everyday and leave static stretching to after I’m cooled down and everything??

Also what is the purpose on hurdle mobility drills?? i’ve searched and looked at alot of threads on it but I’m still not understanding what hurdle mobility drills correlate with your sprinting

you can do everything you mention above every day.

so dynamic stretching on speed and special endurance days and static on tempo days?

No. dym and static on both days.

ok so dym for warm ups and static after workout??

generally yes but in some cases you may have to do some static stretching as part of warm up to ensure adequate ROM is in place.

Re hurdles they are for hip mobility.

do both before your workout, i use the static portion as check and balances.

It depends on the flexibility of the athlete. If you have a tighter athlete PNF and some static stretching before will help before doing the dynamic. And this is for both tempo and speed days. Mind you I dont see why you cant do a little more static stretching during tempo days. And always after exercise you again perform more static and PNF stretches.

Yeah as John mentioned the Hurdle mobility is for hip and glute mobility, and is done on tempo days.
