There seems to be a trend when filming these 100m races to zoom into the runners in the set position, then transition to a wider angle after the gun. It’s really annoying because you don’t really get a good look at the starts. Is it just me that finds this annoying?
Almost as much as watching long jump or triple jump from the “head on” position - which seems to be popular when a US network broadcasts field events. I remember I posted my complaint on a track and field mailing list and Dwight Stones jumped in to say that he tried to tell the networks to shoot it from the side angle, but no body listened to him. Go figure, I’m in agreement with Dwight Stones! Frightening. Almost as bad as saying that Carol Lewis is a knowledgeable broadcaster.

Doesn’t work for me on Windows Media Player though 
They didn’t work properly in Windows Media Player for me either (stop half way through). I used VLC Media Player: http://www.videolan.org/ , and they work fine.
