For a sport so desparate to lift it’s self out to the abyss, in terms of TV coverage and public interest, you’d think that Craig Masback or some one with decision making authority would make sure track and field’s season opening TV coverage, which wasn’t live anyway, WOULD NOT BE SLOTTED AGAINST THE DAMN SUPER BOWL!!!
What moron would do that? I answered my own question. A moron or group of morons would do that. I had to keep going back, hoping to catch the 60 meters and other races- even chosing to miss a play or two of the super bowl in the process. As for the Melrose Games, I thought they put on a pretty good show. I liked the women’s 60 meters intro. Turning off the lights and spot lighting the sprinters during introductions was cool. A la NBA style. I only saw the men’s 60 from the “set” moment but I assume they did the same for the guys. Another thing that was cool was watching the kids run the 60. It was way too cute seeing them run all the way to the padded wall and bouncing off. Priceless! My girlfriend was laughing like crazy. Too bad most ppl probably missed the entire meet.
On another front, and more worthy of coversation, Is that Me’Lisa Barber HOT or what? Are you kidding me? She’s got to be the hottest sprinter on the planet! I’d shove my girlfriend’s ass into oncoming traffic if I saw Me’Lisa walking up the street and smiling at me! LOL…
