I want to take some of my sprinters away for a training camp next year. I’m curious if anyone knows of good spots that are accessible, affordable, warm, and have adequate training facilities.
I am in Michigan so probably in the south.
One school in town goes to wide world of sports and then goes to parks etc after workouts.
Any help is always greatly appreciated.
We used to go to Florida State, straight down hwy 75. Prob one full day from where you are but you could stop overnight. We used it because we could get on the grass fields.
if you just need an indoor track, you could head east for a few minutes to Windsor.
I also thought about coming up to York!
I think the kids would gain incredible excitement seeing the atmosphere at York . Here there is near nothing for track excitement.
You call that excitement! Go to a track in Europe around now and watch as hordes of russians, swiss, brits etc fight for track space on the Algarve!
And yet, none go to Ciudade Universitaria in Lisbon (at least I saw none while I was there, ever). Yeah yeah, it is a little drive from the beaches, but still, much cheaper!
