My right inner hip got injured 6 weeks ago going heavy on squats. I was making great progress too…probably added 35lbs to my powerclean and tied my last PR for squat. Flexion of the hip combined with internal rotation hurts the upper inner hip SHARPLY. The flexion of the hip is important because without that there really isnt any pain. I don’t believe it to be the hip flexor though. Ice doesn’t numb the pain, so I suspect its pretty damn deep. The left hip has developed some tightness now too…and the spread leg hip stretch with the feet together causes sharp pain in the inner hips…not necessarily pain but a very sharp painish that going further is a BAD idea.
