People really need to learn about what socialism and communism really are before they label them as bad. Go and look up a thing or two about the people of Cuba (a socialist country) and how their healthcare system compares to that of the U.S…and then tell me how our freedom is so great that it prevents us from getting many basic treatments that are available to Cubans. Give me a break…oh and what makes America so free? Last time I checked innocent black men are killed regularly in this “free” country. Forgive me for responding this way but it is exactly this kind of ignorance that I abhor.

The US provides for much of the world which frees up $$ for other expenses in those countries.

I cannot believe how ignorant some people are. If the Washington Post isn’t a state run newspaper/media machine then I don’t know what is. Many (if not most) of the stories that are supposedly “newsworthy” are directly fed to the American media by politicians via “leaks” and “undisclosed sources”…lol. My friend I feel sorry for you because you are very naive…the country that you think is so free is more controlled and censored than you will ever know. The thing that the American dictatorship has so wonderfully mastered is how to propagate themselves as the beacon of light and stallworth for justice, peace, and democracy. The sad part about it is that you have individuals like yourself who actually believe it and are assisting in your own demise. Let’s talk about Ben Johnson…do you really think its coincidence that the arch rival of Carl Lewis was implicated in a drug scandal (when it was well known that Olympic athletes had been doping for years) and that the positive drug tests Carl Lewis failed before the Olympics was hidden? Give me a break. It was a setup…say what you want about Ben and his wrongdoing the “free” American media /industrial machine ran with this story and assisted in this complicit smear campaign…and no amount of “free” journalism could have stopped that.
I really don’t want to address your “crime” stats, but since you brought it up I will. Those numbers don’t tell half of the story because most crimes committed against blacks by whites go unreported. The main reason is because a disproportionate amount of these crimes involve law enforcement. Law enforcement is not going to implicate themselves. We see it rather routinely where law enforcement commits crimes against blacks without recourse. So, the hell with those stats they don’t prove anything….they are completely antithetical to my experiences in life as a black man and I really don’t give a damn if even members of my own race don’t agree. It is what it is.
Yes, yes, I like this truth your giving…so even though we know obama is a puppet president, they’ll still allow their puppet(obama) to cater to certain factions of the population(divide n conquer). If professional sportsmen of the different pro sports were to all sign onto a petition
(supporting a lucrative pro sprint circuit), they’d represent this faction.

I just read your post without reading all the others, so I may be jumping the gun, but I do agree with most of what you posted. Why? Because I have traveled overseas, and I do so every year, and from my experience, what I have learned is that America is free in terms of what you can vocally say, but in terms of actual physical freedom, America is a prison without any actual bars simply because way too many things in America are illegal and/or overly regulated.
And to qualify my statement, in terms of actual prison, America locks up more of it’s own citizens then any other country in the world.
