Tricreatine Malate (Tri-Creatine Salt)

Tricreatine Malate (Tri-Creatine Salt)

Any research?

I haven’t seen any peer reviewed studies on tri-creatine malate. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t work. It’s bascially a creatine molcule bonded to a malate molecule. Creatine is the most researched supplement out there is pretty much proven to work, adding malate to it might make it more bioavailable, though I’m not sure it’s enough to promote any noticable results above and beyone creatine monohydrate.

Malate does condition the recycling of lactate and pyruvate, and takes part in the krebs cycle supplying both instant (ATP) and sustained energy (regeneration of oxaloacetate). So you may notice a bit more energy.

I’ve used both extensively and I’ve not noticed any significant differences. A few athletes I have trained with report increased endurance when you TCM when compared to creatine monohydrate.
