'Training for Speed' Ebook?

Is the ebook on the site worth purchasing? if so why?

Ive purchased numerous ebooks in the past, most ones based on Anabolic steroids and the information was poor, im a bit conservative about paying out again.

Has anyone bought it and been 100% satisfied?

Haven’t got it yet :frowning:

Im like a kid at christmas!! please verify  it will make me happy.

What are your goals? What are you looking for out of it? This book is worth far more than the purchase price. But if you are looking for a book on knitting, it won’t do you much good. It has NOTHING whatsoever to do with banned substances.

Ron,

Put it this way: I have 3 copies, yes 3 copies, and 2 copies of Speed Trap.(all paper copies, not ebooks).

Worth every cent and I am 100% satisfied.

I have the seminar videos aswell.

Make use of the search facility - this site is loaded of great information.

I have the E-book and its great!

Cheers,
Chris

wow!

i didnt expect such quick replies.

Im training for soccer after a 2 year absense due to injury and different goals (bodybuilding).

Now i want to get back into soccer, but as a striker i really want to nail the sprinting aspect to give defenders a real nightmare.

Im not sure what i should be doing weekly, ive read herb’s (old training journal) and am confused with ‘tempo’ i thought sprint training was only carried out 2/3 times per week.

Any help would be appreciated

Tempo is jogging under 65% of your max. Nice and easy stuff for recovery. Again, the book is well worth the cost.

cheers,

if the mighty herb reccomends it then consider it bought.

Shame its not on paper/hardback format. But then again i will have it instantly.

So is tempo a chance to concentrate on form of running, stride, arm action etc…? and is there more detail in the ebook?

If you want a paper copy, Rupert MIGHT have one left. You can contact him at info@charliefrancis.com. If not get the CFTS manual from this site.

The ebook will be fine charlie cheers for the suggestion though. I can always print parts out to read.

While you are here could you confirm whether tempo is an ideal time to practice technique/form?

RE: Tempo and sprinting form…This is just my opinion, but Tempo should be natural and relaxed. It is nothing like sprinting so I tell my athletes to not worry about form. Others opinions may differ.

cheers for the reply,

i bet you guys get questions like this all the time, im sorry but i suppose im just excited about taking on sprint training.

Join the revolution…

Be fast or be hurt/slow…

CFTS has made me effective in the MLB, NFL, FINA, and Track as a coach and a weenie touching maniac. While I can’t say it was coach—just add water (in this case ebooks) it made me improve very rapidly.

I have 1 signed CFTS copy in my desk…

If anybodys interested…

Let me know…

Ron,

There are a few members who train/play soccer. Including me.

You have come to the right place.

Use the search facility - then just ask away.

Excellent! are your routines up in the site?

and why on earth do you have 3 copies, surely 1 would do the trick?

are you supposed to get it right away? I just ordered it and it sed it is still processing it or somethign and gave me a message as if they are sending it through mail rather than e-mail?

You must have misread your email, we don’t mail anything unless the product is not electronic.

Please forward your paypal transaction ID to “info@charliefrancis.com”.

Also note, that we verify each order and this is not a fully automated process.

Thank you,

Rupert
