Track Marking Plans

Hi,

I’m trying to analyse a lot of video footage lately and I was wondering if anyone has access to any track marking plans so I can quickly figure out what all the different markings are on the tracks I am studying (most of which I havn’t been to).

I need these for both indoor and outdoor tracks.

TC

Cheers PJ,

There must be so much on the IAAF website I don’t know about. You’re the source of all knowledge.

Thanks again!

Hi everyone, speaking of track measurements here, I’m having problems pinpointing the exact location of the 150m mark. Some people tell me to take eight steps back from the green markings in the middle of the curve and some say to follow the green marking in the next lane. Sorry if my question is too basic but I’ve never known for sure all these years what exactly is the 150m distance.

Thanks guys! =)

The 7th hurdle of the 400m hurdle (green mark) is placed at 145m front the finish line. From this you can easely find 5 meters behind (note that the track length is measured 20cm from the inner white lane for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th lanes, and 30cm for the 1st lane).
