An historic and sociological approach to the star system in different eras. An exhibition available in four modules: Ancient heroes (from 776 BC to 393 BC); The heroes of tradition (from 1896); Modern heroes (from the end of the First World War); and Global heroes (from 1980).

A document to address the theme of the sporting hero in class and to prepare for a visit to the exhibition. Activity sheets for 6-16 year-olds. Download in French, English and German. Cost of the paper version: CHF 10.

Tour and Heroes Academy workshop package
The schoolchildren invent a superhero identity for themselves and a cause to defend. They dress up, work on posture and attitude, then go to visit the exhibition accompanied by a guide. For 6-11 year-olds; duration an hour-and-a-half; reservations on 021 621 6727; cost CHF 50 + entry tickets.

Tour and Become the hero of your tour package
Accompanied by a guide, the schoolchildren discover the exhibition. Through a scavenger hunt, they are confronted with the fates of sporting heroes. They discuss problem situations that are put to them, and make choices that influence their route through the Museum. Who wants to be become a hero? The Olympic Museum presents a selection of photographs shot by Luc Chessex and taken from his book Avis aux amateurs! Les sports populaires à Lausanne, published in 2008 with the support of the City of Lausanne. The exhibition allows us to explore and re-discover this essential dimension of sport: the pleasure of the game.

Until Sunday 19 April: PâKOMUZé
For the Easter holidays, the joint event aimed at youngsters organised by Lausanne’s museums. The Olympic Museum is offering a whole series of activities to its young public.

Every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Become the hero of your visit free visit
An interactive discovery of the exhibitions which put the participants in delicate situations and oblige them to make choices. Who wants to be a hero? From the age of 12, cost included in entry ticket. No reservations.

Every day from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Manga workshop
The participants choose their sporting hero and draw them manga-style. Dessinator (Julien Cordebar, a manga illustrator) will assist so that it looks like the hero of their dreams. For 12-16 year olds, free entrance. Registration only on 021 621 67 27, limited places.

Every day from 2 to 3.30 p.m.: Mission superhero workshop
The participants dress up as superheroes by following the advice of Actorman (Julien Cordebar, actor) to get into their role properly. And, in their costume, they fly off to meet Olympic heroes. For 6-11 year olds, free entrance. Registration only on 021 621 67 27, limited places.

Sundays 19 April at 2.30 p.m.: Heroes improvised theatre
Semi-improvised show, funny and surprising, on the theme of sporting heroes. A creation of the LesArts company. Any age, price: CHF 5 (individual), CHF 7 (couple) and CHF 10 (families). Registration only on 021 621 67 27, limited places.
