The maintaince Phase

After a 7 week period (3-1-3), and with No Competition coming up
would it be wise to use the follwoing 2-3 weeks to reduce body fat by cutting calories and increasing Tempo slightly, or would this be too demanding and stressful directly following a maximum strength phase?
Considering another 7 week period (3-1-3) will be starting after that?

Just be careful that you don’t lose all of your hard won strength gains!
