Elite runners make 180 -200 strides per minute. I didn’t understand is it the frequency maintained during long marathon races or you should try to achieve that number in a one given minute? Or what is the number of strides in a minute you should strive for to consider yourself an elite runner?

Not elite sprinters. that’s 3 to 3 1/2 strides a second. Maybe ok for ‘elite joggers’.

If 180 - 200 strides a minute considered good for a jogger then how much strides an elite SPRINTER would have had “squeezed out” for a one given minute? 250? more less?

Would not three to three and a half strides per second equate to 180 - 220 strides per minute?

I still estimate an elite sprinter will do 250 good strides in a minute than will die from fatigue
