Tennis Ball Rolling

Hey everyone. You know how rolling the bottoms of your feet on a tennis ball causes the fascia of the entire superficial back line to loosen up? I was wondering if this would be a good thing to do prior to sprinting, or if it would have adverse affects on one’s speed.

The way I see it, it could either aid performance by increasing ROM through the hips to allow for easier leg swing, or it could hurt performance by maybe causing too low of muscle tone (I really don’t know).

So, what does everyone think?
