Stretching between Sets?

One of the best work outs i’ve ever had was short sprints on the track at a high intensity, followed by supersetting heavy weighted pull-ups with heavy incline bench.

I aim to keep the intensity the same as I feel this is the most beneficial.

I did try varying the intensity per opposite group - (specifically for the H/s ) - one group high intensity and the other lower intensity - but faster reps - but I found this tired me faster than usual and I found it had a negative effect on my higher intensity sets.
