Strange soreness

I post on a few other boards but this is my first post here. So, you may have seen this question already; I am just trying to get as much info as I can.

I am not sure how to describe this so I will do the best I can.

For the past few weeks I have had this wierd soreness (very minor when not training) that will not go away. I am not sure exactly what happened or when it happened.

It’s not exclusively with my hamstrings, and not exclusively my glutes but seems to be right where they meet. It’s both legs (though more so with my right) and goes across that area so I can feel it directly underneath my uh….sack.

When I do hamstring stretches I feel a bit of tighntess but no pain really. I can run and I notice its there but again, its not stopping me. I can also do squats and do not feel it nor do I feel it doing glute ham raises.

There are really only 2 motions I have found that really bring it out: If I lift one leg to a 90 degree angle then lean forward it hurts; without the lean everything is fine. Also, when I do leg presses it tends to hurt.

I’ve been trying to rest, I’ve been icing the area as best I can but it doesn’t really seem to be doing anything. Because I can’t really pinpoint the area I can’t find any stretches that work the area. I am taking time off now for shin splints right now so that may help too.

Anyone have any ideas what I can do to help this? Is this just a hamstring strain that I am feeling?

I had a trapped nerve in my buttucks (scrantica) when they are tight I feel pain. but after massages and injections of B1,b6 & b12 it resolved.

Could be a slipped disc. See a doctor.

A slipped disc would show pain in that area though?

As a quick update, the pain is all but gone right now. It never really got any worse it was just kind of there then eventually went away.
