Great race for Asafa! He actually appeared nervous as I don’t recall him doing a great deal of swaying and bouncing around before he enters the blocks. I believe it’s a great thing as it illustrates to me that he really cared about the outcome.

However, did anyone observe Bolt’s cadence in the last 15-20m  ! It appeared as though he was stride for stride with Powell resulting in the late and EXTREMELY fast surge!

I certainly hope Bolt stays healthy throughout his career as he capable of doing some VERY special things.

RandyG…Over and out:cool:

What happened to John S? I did not see the race - but his TIME??!! Injured or not ‘competition fit’ due to the operation? I feel sorry for him! :frowning:

I spoke to John Steffensen recently and he said he hurt a hammy about two weeks ago, has been in Munich getting treatment, and he is tentative on the leg. He will race in Monaco and then make a call on the Olympics, but he said he was pretty much hanging in there just to try to help the Aussie 4x4 team. He was putting on a brave and optimistic face about the whole season “You have good years and bad years” he said. Well, this has been a shit of a year for John. I wish him well but 47 does not look promising for Beijing. Hopefully he comes out of this season fully repaired and ready to set up a great 2009…
