I’m looking to lose weight, but not necessarily become a better athlete. I was wanting to know a good diet that mixes in some working out that has worked for other people.
I got into college and it seems like I have lost all my motivation that I had during the summer.
I think with diet there are so many theories out there that you need to do a little research and choose what you think makes most sense to you. In the nutrition thread there is a fair amount of stuff and some good links.
However, I would say that you need to look at the obvious such as burning more calories than you consume, staying away from junk food, limiting sugar (I find that crucial, I can’t just have one sugary snack, it ends up being 3, 4 or 25, something like that ;)), and then combine it with regular exercise including some muscle building work to raise your BMR and a little cardio.
