nanny the clip isn’t great as i cannot see you in set position.from looking at your departure you are upright way too early(3stride).use the blocks!
if i was you i would use charlies ideas on med ball throws etc which will help you greatly for explosiveness and strenght from the blocks.get another clip and let us see the angles in set.you can do this but takes time!!!
From what I seen I think her problem is when she gets out the blocks. Judging from that video I bet that she is behind in the 1st half of the race. These are the following reason I think so.
#1. She gets out way to high. On Average you want to get out the blocks at a 20-25 degree angle. She gets out at either between 40-60 degrees.
#2. Something looks out of order. I can’t put my finger on it right now, but here is what I would suggest. Her like I said get out lower and keep her head down to keep her stuff in line.
Nanny, from what i see (and I only took a quick look) she runs a little out of the blocks (ie steps over prematurly)rather than driving (pushing) on the first few strides.
I would think she has high stride frequency early and then may have some speed maintenance issues later in the race… Am I close to the truth?
Her start looks pretty good. The only tweaking I would do is MAYBE…MAYBE raise the front block by one click and have her drive her knee a bit more. But what I am suggesting might be fixed in the wieght room. BTW who is the girl in all black? She looks pretty fast.
I wouldn’t change anything. I just think it’s a matter of developing more strenght through training as time goes along. Once the strength is in place, everything will get sorted out naturally. if you try to change things now, you might introduce anxiety.
