Everyone knows about Ben’s super bench press 4 days before Oly. 100 m. I would like to know how many days before 9,79 Ben did havy squats? And how many pounds, sets and reps he worked with?

6 days before heats
No squats close to racing (too much stress) but you can use bench press to prime the CNS upto 3 days before heats. This is all discussed in the Forum Reviews and on the Vancouver DVDs.

Charlie can correct me if I’m wrong, but if I remember correctly, he said that the squats Ben did in the weeks leading up to Seoul were partial squats to stim the CNS but protect the hamstrings.
