the reebok fosters for 2/4??
look good but take my advice and stick with jap shoes.way more advanced than any other co out there.i tend to go for mizuno spikes which are fabulous followed by asics…after that its for the style dudes who like to look great but run s***
X-Man, I’ve been thinking about getting Mizuno spikes for some time now, but I would have to order them online. Do you, or anyone else, know how the sizes of the Mizuno spikes run? For example, would a size 11 in Nike be the same as 11 in Mizuno, or would it a be little bigger/smaller?
I bought some mizuno’s and they fit bigger than Nike, but I have heard other people say the opposite. I think it depends more on the particular shoe we are talking about, because even within nike I wear different sizes in certain shoes (albeit 1/2 size differences).
personally i think mizunos are slightly tighter overall and more snug but hey i have feet like a womans so i can’t really say anything.
also do not forget that foot dimensions are alays different and different from persom to person…
misterC if you can buy mizunos in a local shop then my advice would be to go ahead but online is more tricky unless…you could email the shop an outline of your foot(just a suggestion to help you)
Mister C,
I own Nike + Mizuno.
I have 9.5 Mizuno Geo Spark and size 10 Nike Zoom Celar.
Mizuno are brilliant. Best spikes I have ever owned.
Im wondering if something like these would be sufficient for my sprint work. I don’t compete in track but do recreational basketball, flag football, and volleyball, and don’t want to spend any more than I have to. Then again I dont want to get a pair of cheap shoes that screw up my feet and make me pay 10 times the price of them in copays to the ortho!
Most of my sprint work will be 10s and 20s if that helps.
Try to get a spike without any “heel padding”. You should be able to find a real sprint spike for $20 also… Like the Nike Zoom Rival S or something similar.
ad…to be honest i would say thoae spikes would be fine.the modern sprint spikes are dififcult to adjust to if you are not familiar.actually i would highly recommend the use of middle distance spikes for a vast majority of sprint work…takes alot of stress from the calfs/achilles in benefits you in the long run.
I agree! Crono Incs rock! I pronated and colapse terrible so a stable hard flexing shoe is great for me. But i wouldnt do everything in them like tempo training. e.g. 12 x100 reps i use crono dash for that
