I’m looking to go to the USA to train. I’m having trouble finding good coach who is not restricted by colleges. However, I cannot afford to live somewhere too expensive like Cali. I am looking to go somewhere with warm weather like Texas but am willing to go where the right coach is. Could you guys put me in contact with some professional and recognised coaches who are not restricted by colleges and accept professional athletes. If you could PM me some details and contacts etc. I am looking to make the move right away.
I’m out of touch with US coaches these days, but obviously Clyde Hart would be an excellent option, obviously and especially for 400 & 200m. He’s no longer employed at Baylor, although he still assists I understand. Also in Texas, Tom Tellez still helps around Houston I think. Wish I could be more helpful there
looking purely for a 100/200 coach who is speed orientated.
if anybody has some people in mind or some contacts, could you please PM me with details etc. i’m looking for a recognised coach who has been and done.
If you are looking for a 100/200 specialist then perhaps you should try Trevor Graham. Trevor Graham trains Justin Gatlin, Shaun Crawford, Jason Smoots, etc. He trains his athletes down at North Carolina State University, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is not affiliated with any university. In fact, when he graduated from North Carolina Central State University in Durham his goal was to land a track & field position at the collegiate level. It never happened and so he started his own track & field organization.
I live in Greensboro, North Carolina which is about 45 minutes down the road from Raleigh. Raleigh’s cost of living is cheap. However, I cannot speak for Trevor Graham’s costs or prices for coaching you.
well i will weigh up my options and most likely go to where the best set up is. set up being all factors i.e. best coach for me, cost of living, weather, facilities etc. i am keeping an open mind and am open to all ideas.
