SPEED TRAP:A Couple Questions for Charlie

Hey Mr.Francis,
I have a question for you about Speed trap.

1.1985 you made one major change to your program where you started at shorter distances of speed and stretched out the distances because it was easier for a sprinter to adapt to.My question is,how did you determine went it was time to stretch out the distance and how do you monitor the athletes progression with this?

Get “Training for Speed” and the “Vancouver 2004” DVD.

Agreed. This is called “short to long” sprint training and is covered in depth in these two products and is discussed at length on the forum. Try searching for short to long and a load of stuff will come up. The van’04 dvd covers this in depth with specific examples.
