speed endurance problem?

Ran a 100, 200 and 4x100m today.

The 4x100 was first event and i ran it well.
However the 100m and 200m… headwind in the 100 and tailwind in the 200.
Anyway… 100m… slowed down in the end of the race and got passed by 2 ppl. I “felt” relaxed and kept my head down till about 50m and my accel./top speed felt better than everyone else.

Anyway in the 200m… ran a nice bend with little effort and looked very good till about 140m and then with about 40m to go, my legs seriously tightened up and i died out hard and someone from my team who i was half a meter ahead of passed me by 3 meters. I ended up with a big PB, so did he, regardless i feel somethings really wrong because this is the 3rd meet where im slowing down a lot.

I’ve been doing a decent amount of speed endurance work btw.

The 100m race was my 3rd 100m and 4th including relays. The 200m was my first but 3rd including relays. Also ran 2 400s before.

Give yourself a few more races to let the specificity of race SE kick in. Sounds like you are well on your way. Just stick with it and you may surprise yourself shortly

Ok thanks, I just got a question though, how do relay legs go and heats/semi finals as far as races are concerned?
