spasm

how do you stop fasciculations that have been going on for a week? It is not painful when it spasms, however i feel pain in the area when finishing up sprinting session, as i fatigue alittle pain sets in the area, muscle must be tight somehow. It is in the left gluteul area it keeps twitching.

Sounds like the classic signs of overtraining. Look at your speed work or lifting schedule and see if things have increased either in volume or intensity beyond what you’re used to.
PS How about calling them twitches so people will know what you’re talking about!

must be the weight volume since the twitch, I have dropped lots of volume of weights doing one to 2 lifts the 3 session i have on a monday/wed/and friday. I finished off GPP where i did a saturday session of 8x60m hill session. I started SPP on a monday, maybe i jumped to SPP to quick?

charlie i also must add, that i do squats once a week the week prior i did 245 for 5 reps and the week before that i did 235lbs. I did the sessions on a friday the final day before 2 rest days of sat/sun. For the 245lbs session i was really sore however after 2 days it was fine, as a matter fact i was sore yesterday and today i’m completely fine well with the bum twitches stilll there. It probably is overtraining but not a massive one, do you think there are varying degrees to this?
