We have a live chat box on this site, but it is never used. How about making a new section on this site so that members can schedule chat sessions. Or, have a general schedule. Such as Monday is strictly for “x topic”, etc., and Friday’s could be a free for all day. Just an idea.
Sounds good. I’ll check into it, it may be just a matter of tweaking the calender so members can just pick an open slot and create their own discussions?
What do you think?

Done. Members can now add their own events to the Forum Calender. Just use the Heading “Live Chat: TOPIC”.
Thats it, enjoy and lets see some action.

I just added a 30 minute event occuring soon as more or less a test.
That is a good idea, but we should also have a new section in the members area as well to show people that a chat session is scheduled on the calendar. People aren’t going to really be looking at the calendar much, so chat sessions might not be as productive as they could be.
So, we could keep the calendar thing going to keep everything organized, but add a section in the members area to announce about chat sessions (when, what topic, etc.).
In this new section, also, because we only have one room, the first topic to set up a time from (x to x), gets that time.
Rupert, you might have missed my last post, but I think you should seriously think about adding a new “chat session” section. We have the chat box, but it is never used. With the new section and calendar, it would be a great addition to the site.
check calender for next discussion on sunday
