my english is bad, so i apologize if i cannot be accurante.
it is known that ronaldo (still in Inter’s time in 1997-2001) loves night life and not training
It is poor serious as athletes and i don’t understand why people loves him.
For example, in season 1997-1998 (the first with Inter) he was engaged with a girl, Susana Werner, called “ronaldinha” (yes, brasilians and media are much newfangled) but he passed night with a whore
Some friends (other whores!) of this woman were hired by a teammate of Ronaldo (Berti) to make happy the others teammate (who believed to pick these girls up but insted they was payed for that).
Of course, didn’t miss happy parties… with many girls and of course the doors of rooms strictly opened, to allow to see.
“Ronaldinha” when got to known these fact, went to Inter’s president and asked him to fire Berti
Yes, Berti was fired!!!
afterwars, Ronaldo abandonned (or Susana?) Susana and engaged with a new blonde girl, his future partner (before the marriage he went around the media to say she was vergin!)
Oh no!
after one month, people discovered she was pregnant since 3 months!
In the last years, Ronaldo abandonned inter to go in real (spain)
And in this city he found the time to leave his partner, engaged with a new girl and…
betray ahead of her eyes!
Yes, this fact happened in one of the many orgy parties organised by a teammate of Ronaldo in madrid, Roberto Carlos (of course, already teammate in the Selecao)…
in one of these ones, as every party, there was an imperative command: no partner!
but the genious of Ronaldo went with her and beginned the dances ahead her eyes

It is just my opionion but it is difficult that in soccer the 40s are tested!
generally, the tests performed are 10s, 20s and 30s (and other ones as SLS, SJ/CMJ with Bosco’s Platform).
If there is a fast player but only for him, we can see 60s or 100s (i.e., for Robero Carlos, teammate of Ronaldo, phenomenon player, as reported, ran 100s in 10"7- of course we haven’t no news about conditions - grass or track surface for example)
Vabo,
do you know a lot about “soccer”, so,
where do you live ? ( you´re not british right ? )
Suzana now is with Julio Cesar, goalkeeper of a team named Flamengo ( Zico´s ex-team ).
About Ronaldo ex-girlfriends,
i like Milene, she is very very very very very beautiful, wonderful, nice x1000.
And she is a soccer player too, she plays for Fiamma Monza in italy.
of course, i am italian!
for this one, i know a litte bit about soccer and of course about Milan, Juve and Inter (3 of the 15 soccer tearm powerfuller in the world)
generally i love all sport (but not baseball that i don’t understand! and hockey)
I’m a fan (in american football) of St Louis Rams (3 years ago “the greatest show on the turf!”) and of course i hate Mike Martz!
PS: Milena, former partner of Ronald, has the record for consecutive bounces with the ball.
i don’t remember well, but it can be a thing such as 3 or 6 hours!
unfortunately i don’t know if she play still with Monza because she is not more invited in soccer talk show
you are right: she is pretty and i think she is a good person
It would be interesting to see just who the quickest players are. There have been occassional charity events where some lower league players run 100m, but never really the very best players.
Henry is quick, no doubt. But in preseason work, Ashley Cole (left full back) is generally the fastest player Arsenal have. I don’t know the exact details, but I’ve read it a few times. Djibril Cisse also looks very quick. Whether he’s quicker than Henry I don’t know, but it will be interesting when Arsenal play Liverpool this season.
I’d say those three are amongst the fastest in England, if not Europe.
Roberto Carlos is not so fast as Robinho = Robson, newbie on Real Madrid.
Roberto Carlos is more power than fast, some of his kicks goes over 160 km/h. Vouuuppp !!! Actualy, he has the record for squats in brazillian team which is 300kg ( 660lb ).
Yes, like most players his pace has waned as he has got older. That’s either due to the nature of the game or training methods not conducive to speed, or perhaps a combination of both.
Do you have any more information on those squats? Are they to parallel?
It was about 100º knee position, it´s not exactly paralel, but 300kg squated between 1/4 and paralel still prety heavy.
He have the fire fibers to do that, i know his trunk looks prety small but it´s all muscle and strenght.
Zagalo said once,
Roberto Carlos body weight is 60% legs, 30% upper body and only 10% head.
Even when this thread was hot there is no way Ronaldo ran anything impressive. If you just watch him play it’s pretty obvious his knee problems/injuries/surgeries have taken their toll.
Try Henry, or Cristiano Ronaldo. Two guys who probably could have been world-class sprinters…
No way, soccer players are always given these super human powers. No doubt there are footballers that probably can run 10.9-10.4 secs but to be an elite sprinter is a galaxy away. In the 1980s I remember a Sheffield Wednesday player by the name of John Williams or something williams running 10.4 secs on the Saint and Greavesy Show; and Malcolm McDonald of Newcastle United running 10.8 secs on a TV show in the late 70s (Super Stars). I doubt if any footballers can run faster than 4 secs on average, maybe pull out a 3.9 secs. Thats possible but a 3.8 or lower? If they are then they are sprint training or doing some form of sprint training…
Now if we are talking about rugby or NFL aka American Football, then no doubt, but soccer players? I doubt it, its possible but unlikely. Henry and Ronaldo elite sprinters? Who knows we will never find out.
A soccer player with great ability in the sprints while still fully active as a soccer player is highly doubtful. If given the opportunity to train sprints exlusively - who knows? There are no shortage of west-african soccer players who look like they could do well in the sprints.
Let’s turn the question around - how would a sprinter fare in soccer? In my experience most soccer players designated as “the sprinter type” are constantly fighting hamstring and other injuries. Maybe there is a point beyond which a certain physique just can’t cope with the demands of soccer?
Also, there are certain personality traits (not necessarily unrelated to the physical ones) which makes people take to a certain sport, but not others. For all the sprinting/running in a game of soccer, the nature of the game is far removed from sprinting. Among the very best there is certainly such high level of specialization that being amongst them in one sport exludes being amongst them in another. That is not to say that someone could come close.
The media people and non track people don’t know their yards from their meters. They don’t know the differance from hnd timed to electronic. They don’t allow the differance from reaction and first movement. (The people who compared Rory Underwood to Ben Johnson, don’t make me laugh.)
Look, these people are not even comparable to elite sprinters when it comes to speed.
Interview with Ronaldhino a few years back…
“you ran 10.3 for 100m, have you ever thought about going to the olympics?”
“No.”
(…and I will tell you why. He wouldn’t make it out of the first round of the 100m.)
Why haven’t these footballing, rugby playing “sprinters” accepted the media challenges to take on the olympic sprinters then?
Dieon Sanders was supposedly M.r Fast, and the best he came up with was 10.29 seconds for 100m.
I suspect he was atleast as fast as Ronaldo ever was, probably faster.
Helsingborgs IF had a player named Luton Shelton last year. He had no idea how to play soccer but he was really fast. Reportedly he ran 10.01 on 100m. I have never seen a faster player on a soccer field before. I have no idea if he fas fast enough for 10.01 though.
He had a lot of injury problems the first months in the club, hamstrings being the main problem if I remember correctly.
