The guy is unreal. He steps it up when it’s crunch time just like MJ.
Too bad that’s the only time he steps up… someone should just tell him that every single regular season game is sudden death.
Big Shot Bob he is, Jordan he is not!
Go Pistons!
You must have missed his dunk from the free throw line with his left hand…
The one over rip hamilton?
Still doesn’t touch MJ.
Averaged 41 ppg in the '93 Finals - averaged 35.1 per game 6.7 rebounds, had 39 steals, and blocked 17 shots throughout the playoffs that year.
Horry steps up every quarter or so (and is the invisible man during the regular season) - Jordan carried the team the whole playoffs.
Not that Horry isn’t clutch - but really they should just pay him for 19 or 20 games where he actually tries.
Obviously you can’t compare him to Jordan, but the fact that he is unstoppable at certain key moments on the floor is what defines him as a rarity in the NBA. There are only a handful of players who have this ability in all of professional sports, MJ being the most prolific.
We’ll find out how clutch this guy really is, in about 6 hours or so… Maybe his is overpaid??
Top clutch playoff performers?
There’s MJ, Joe Montana, Sandy Koufax, Wayne Gretzky, Mario, Bobby Orr, Magic, Elway, Messier, Reggie Jackson, Derek Jeter, Larry Bird, Jerry West, Reggie Miller, Kirk Gibson - and Horry.
I don’t think he’s overpaid - I would just love to see him perform like he has lately all the time.
the thing is he doesnt have to perform when his team is that good. he only steps up when his team absolutely needs it and thats what makes him a good player.
Spurs win.
I guess that’s what he did in game 7. You couldn’t even notice him out there.
He had a very good first quarter (8 points), but in the last 3 quarters he was pretty silent.
