Can anybody comment on the efficacy of ribose supplementation in sprint athletes, particularly at an extended meet or tournament? The studies seem equivocal but I notice this supplement is still on the AIS cat B list as being worthy of further research.
Have’nt heard of any great results personally. anyone else?
I can’t remember reading a study supporting it (especially the more recent ones), but CP used to swear by it. Don’t know if he still does.
I tried it when it first came on the scene. It’s okay, but I don’t think it’s worth the money. You have to use fairly large doses (20-30gm) to really feel a difference, and even then it’s only marginal. Your money would be better spent elsewhere (i.e. good food).
CP??? WHat is ribose exactly also?? Sorry to be stupid!
Google it son!
CP - Charles Poliquin I would assume.
So you don’t know either then? lol
