The MicroReviews are another very good addition to the CF catalog. Each MicroReview is a short ebook that contains portions of several interesting discussions from the forum. There is a link before each topic that will allow interested readers to contribute directly to the appropriate thread on the forum.
Some of the topics discussed are:
*Sprint Mechanics (an long and excellent review)
*CNS (definitions, applications and development, clarification)
*Short-to-Long
*9.69 and performance limits
*HSI training methods
*Strength Training needs and their role in helping performance
The discussions are thorough and lively. It will be interesting to see if some of these topics get a new life as a result the MicroReviews and maybe take on a life of their own (e.g., Lactate Threshold Trn – which really should be it’s on ebook with an intro chapters by Kitkat and Charlie)
Two things that would make for an improvement in future editions
-
a clearer demarcation of when Charlie is “speaking”. There are a few instances when this is not clear
-
a table of contents at the beginning of each MicroReview. In this way, readers could easily jump to topics that are of interest.
