Relays

Wasn’t sure which category to put this one in.

My son ended up running all three relays this year. 4x100 and 4x200 are very good for their classification which is small school (1A) division. Mid 42s for the 4x100 and 1:30 for the 4x200. They have advanced to Regionals which is two weeks away. What would be the best approach to take preparing for these events? Just keep up the regular track workouts, or concentrate on improving handoffs? I don’t really have too much input on this anyway, the track coach does, but these kids listen to me and they have quite a bit of control over what they work on themselves. This is a small school where the Track Coach is the Head Football coach just helping in the offseason.

These kids are pretty dedicated and want to get a State Championship. They did not advance in the mile relay so it’s just the two sprint relays, 4x100 and 4x200. Just wondering if they should start changing anything now. Regionals is in two weeks then State is two weeks after that.
