relax

i find if i relax on my sprint races i slow down, if i push it i go faster, is this usually the case with lower level athletes?

You might not know how it is actually to relax properly yet. What are your times?

low 12 second runner, apparently everyone says i relax too much. However when i push i can gain on those that are as fast as me, if i relax they pull away.

well i dont have much long till this season ends, so i guess i will do the muscle run for now see how it goes.

Try to pump from the arms but relax the rest and see how that goes. Concentrate on keeping the shoulders down while you work the arms.

so i pumped my arms faster and went harder and less relaxed at the start, every rep for 60m got faster and faster. I ended up running 7-8 60m dashes, because it was getting faster and faster. dropping.02-.03 every rep. Every time i ran the reps i tried to go harder and harder at the start. and relax and pump the arms hard towards the end.
