Recovering from Minor Groin Strain

I over stretched my groin and am trying to take a week off to ice then slowly build up to where I was. I was doing 24200 @ 30s and 23300 @ 50s.

  1. is it too early to start running after one week.
  2. does 24200 @ 40s seem like a good time to slowly start up.
  3. will i loose my shape if i dont do anything for two to three weeks.

Can you feel it at all now ?
A friend of mine is a an elite 60m sprinter and he had the same “thing”, a minor injury, he didn’t really care and thought it was nothing but then he pulled the **** out of it and was terminated for months.

how does one determine when it is safe to begin training
