At 40 years of age! Congrats to the big unit!
That’s amazing. 97 mph in the 9th inning!
Incidentally, I think pitching a game may be one of the most taxing activities for the CNS. As I understand it, pitching is a whole body activity.
I’m no baseball player, but from what I understand it takes these guys a minimun of 3-4 days before they can pitch another game.
4-5 days usually.
Yeah when I use to still play ball and pitched it was ridiculously taxing. I remember when I was 16 and 17 i’d pitchi around 3 innings a game and be wiped for like 4 days. I just pitched for fun when we needed innings eaton up and didn’t really workup a shitload of arm strenght for it but still it was taxing as hell. One inning your throwing 75-80 nxt your down to 65-70 lol
The big unit is a machine
But Rodger Clemens defys logic
LOL That’s what happens when you rely on your fastball too much. Learn to throw a changeup and you won’t have to worry about throwing hard all the time.
Smart pitchers can go 7-8 innings no problem.
