I think you’d do better with ads between posts on all pages (post, ad, post, etc) rather then in one forum dedicated to commercialism as there won’t be much traffic here opposed to the recovery section, etc imo

The idea is to discretly allow the membership at large to market products and services. I think glaring adverts would only be distracting.

Perhaps at the top/bottom of a page then? I think your best revenue would come from something that everyone will see no matter what part of the forum they are on. If its localized to a classified section then there will be a lot less traffic imo. Just my 2cents.
Its intended to be more of an off forum feature, not meant to be front and centre. Something to do when you’re not on the forums.

I have been thinking of this for years, and have posted some info before on the site about building automated timing systems for a fraction of the price that they cost to buy. I want to put together a DIY(DO-IT-YOURSELF) manual with step-by-step instructions and images of how to turn a Casio handheld stop watch into a fully fledged automated stop watch with RF reciever transmitters and sensors for approximately $250-$300 or even cheaper. I would appreciate feed back from those on the forum. If its good, then I will advertise the manual (and offer to build the timing device or put together a kit of parts) in the classified ads section of this site.
If you are interested then just PM me. If the feedback is good then I will advertise the manual and parts kit on this site. I don’t have much time to put together the kit so it would cost more if you wanted me to assemble the system.
All you will need is a few basic tools and a few hours of practice using a soldering iron…
