Still nothing for the 200, but I swear it’s finished!

She broke the National Federation of State High School Associations national record, thats what PA considers the national record, dont know the legitimacy of it.

This should be a good guide to the Olympic 5000m and somewhat also the 1500m, Lagat being winner of that rare double in Osaka 07. But Ramzi is back. Mottram and Shaheen have work to do. kk

Willis is running into some good form. I’m sure his last race was an 800m A qualifier so that with today’s time looks promising.

Webb was all the talk 12 months ago.

no legitimacy what so ever. it’s like having a requirement that for a canadian(insert country) athlete to set a record they must do it in canada, against only canadians.

only meets that are high school only and run/approved by a state athletic federation/the national federation.

funny you pick the same 2 as me to highlight. :stuck_out_tongue:

800m in 1.45.87 at Reebok.

great run by demps, alot faster than anyone expected. and to get third and beat people like wally spearmon and shawn crawford is pretty good.

the other two high schoolers didn’t do so well.

puskedra ran an 8:46 2mile, and price acted as a 2nd rabbit until about 120-30m to go when she became a giant impediment to anyone behind her and not able to swing wide.

an awesome meet on the pro side though.

edit: it was webbs season opener. but he picked a horrible place to open his season.

yea 2:01 800m for a high school girl isn’t doing very well. if anyone wants to complain that she’s an impediment maybe they shouldn’t be behind a 17 year old with 100m to go.

Yea pr’ing by a second at the pre classic, after competing against high schoolers all year.

I am sure she was disappointed.

if she’d showed some racing sense she could have ran a quicker time, perhaps close to 2 flat and the NR. that was her goal and all.

edit: didn’t know the time when i posted that, thought she went slower than 2:01. consider the part about her not doing too well retracted. the part about her going to the front being a dumb move, not gonna take that back.

Did anyone else get the impression Xiang Liu purposefully false started?

Lot of false starts in all the sprints.

he didnt want to race today and i dont blame him.
