WOW :eek: I’m shocked! Can someone please explain to me how a fractured leg is life threatening? What are they doing to these poor horses?

Horses bones don’t heal…something like that.

horse’s have trouble lieing down for extended periods of time so the bone never gets a chance to heal, infection sets in etc.

I mean but if worst comes to worst couldn’t they just amputate the horses leg? If a dog can learn to walk on 3 legs why can’t a horse?

true. If a dog can walk on 3 legs… but then again, dogs aren’t 350lbs. either. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh come on, there’s no way I am buying that. If a horse has the strength in its legs to propel itself to over 40mph then is it not reasonable to believe that a horse would have the strength to hobble on 3 legs?

yeah at like 5 mph lol before falling over on to the jockey lol

If there is no medical reason that they can’t let the horse live, then there is probably other explanations that are possible.

  1. They dont feel like spending the money on a horse that will do nothing really. Hay, shelter, etc.

  2. They dont wish to see the horse “suffer”, if it really is or not, and they put it down.
