Pre exercise nutrition

What does everyone eat pre ex?
I hear of Beradi and others stating to eat a certain amount of carbs and pros pre ex, but would this not have the same as consuming a normal meal (but with reduced fat) atleast 3 hours before?

I have mine wi cheese:cool: cottage royale

i train at 7ish in the morning and i eat either 1/2 cup of cottage cheese about an hour before. i dont take in any carbs before weight room training but i will use “rage” (from universal nutrition) pre workout before games and some track session.

I try and eat a small meal before weight training. Cottage cheese, or maybe 1oz turkey breast or ham and a apple.
