Re. PNF demonstrated on the Jane and GPP dvd’s: does the athlete provide constant resistance and how many reps would you suggest e.g. knee to chest x 6-10 each leg or more than one set per leg?
Thanks

The pressure exerted by the athlete usually increases throughout the process. As a rule, the less pressure the athlete is able to comfortably exert on the first rep, the tighter they are, therefore the more gradually the pressure is increased and the more reps you use. When an athlete is very ready (at a competition, for example) the less reps you will need to use. sometimes only three.
Many thanks for such a detailed response Charlie. Much appreciated.
