My athletes have reported good results with the PhysioBalm cream. The only downside has been that it stains their skin and clothing. While this may not seem like much, it’s a deterrent for some of them (especially females) even though they found it worked well. The balm makes it look as though they are bruised up.
Any chance that this unfortunate side effect can be rectified, or is it simply a result of the ingredients being used?
Sounds to me like they are using WAY TOO MUCH PhysioBalm per application.
This is a common mistake. Try using a much smaller amount and it will completely run into the skin and disappear. They are probably using 3 grams per application instead of only 1 gram. As the saying goes “too much is as bad or even worse than not enough”. It should completely rub in or you are using too much. It is that simple. Also, it should not stain clothing and if you get it on your clothes by accident, it will wash right out with no problem.
Copper is aqua blue in color therefore it is impossble to get the positive effects of using copper without the color issue. Most people feel it is a small
price to pay for the positive effects received.
Sounds like what I did! Still a good idea to use it at nite with a plastic wrap as it will increase penetration and loosen the muscles in the area due to increased heat.
Thanks 716. I’ll make sure the applications are smaller. It will also allow the cream to go much farther. Obviously, athletes are used to slathering on creams that are far less effective.
Wow, talk about faster than the speed of light. I ordered two jars of PhysioBalm over the phone on Monday afternoon and I received my order Wednesday! No special shipping just regular mail. I stumbled upon the “less is more” for application by accident, as I was trying to stretch a jar out as long as possible before I could purchase another jar. I have had much better luck using a lot less. To quote an old commercial jiggle, “A little dab will do ya!”
Yea, yesterday was my 3rd day using physiobalm and I notice I had a greater ROM at arch of the foot because I’m using it to help heal my planter area in my foot. It’s amazing how that beautiful color of BLUE just disappear w/ a cooling effect. I must admit PhysioBalm is the BALM
This cream sounds similar to the Mentholatum Alcusal gel that DCW has mentioned previously. This is a copper cream in the form of copper salicylate which is considered a superior anti-inflammatory to the other forms of copper, hence its use in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and tendinitis.
I thought you guys would like this…
I just tried the cream on my shins because my shins are very sore… Similar to
shins splints… I notice in 4 days my shins feels better…
Sorry for the delay in providing you with a better description
of the amount of PhysioBalm per application. I weighed out exactly one
gram, which is a single application, and it is a 1/2 inch circle that is 1/4 inch deep in mass. That is about a 1/4 inch deep on the end of your index finger. A dime is 11/16 of an inch across. So. the amount per serving is LESS than the size of a DIME and 1/4 inch deep. Do not use two fingers to take an application out of the jar. If you do, you will get way more that a single application. Hope this information will be helpful.
