MANILA, July 1 AFP - Philippines athletics supremo GoTeng Kok was in stable condition in hospital here today,hours after he was shot by unidentified gunmen.
Go, who heads the Philippine Amateur Track and FieldAssociation, was attacked near a Manila park andsustained bullet wounds to the face, police said.
The bullet came through from one cheek to theother,'' said Manila Hospital director ChristiaPadolina. He is safe and stable as of now after three hours ofsurgery,’’ she said.
Police said there were no suspects and no one hadclaimed responsibility.
