Periodization and Reccomendation

Morning Coaches.

I Was wondering what everyone thought of this style of cycles for a 18-25 year old group of athletes with one peak.
3 weeks on and 1 week off and the off week be just tempo, the facility we use is not indusive for sprit training 140m, and we can not be outside too cold.
I think this would decrease the amount of injuries?

Also - curious to know what book people recommend for periodization.

Books:

Charlie Francis Training System
Forum Review 02 Ebook
Tudor Bompa: Theory and Methodology of Training
There is also a fair deal in Supertraining and a number of weightlifting books the names of which escape me at the moment.

Is the indoor track 140m? Why can’t you use a short to long system to build Speed Endurance? You can build pretty good SE and even Special Endurance 1 using 140m track (setting you up nicely for the 100m and perhaps even for the 200). Have you got the Van’04 DVD? Short to long is discussed in detail there.

Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately the track corners are too tight and running over 90% is very difficult to almost impossible at the more elite level and it causes injuries.

But it is the hand I have been dealt and I have to work with it
