peaking and taper

Hello everybody,I´m trying to learn about the concepts of taper and peaking
so I would be so glad if someone could explain about it

Could someone put an example please?

I´ve got the CFTS so if you know the number of the page in wich those concepts were explained just tell me in wich one.

Finally I´ve read it.But now I have a few doubts that I´ll try to expose next

1-I´ve seen that the recovery periods between sets and reps in day 10 before competition are quite extended so I guess what to do during that recovery periods (cause in my town the winter time is so cold :o )should you just walking or it is better to do another kind of light work or strectching?

2-Are the same concept PEAKING and TAPER?

3-If the peaking period must to be considered like a continuation of the specifical preparation period , then should I planning that peaking as it would be the recovery week of a 3+1 weeks mycrocycle?In wich previous week I must achieve the big gains of strentgh?
