Hey guys, I know the p+c shakes have been re-hashed over and over… but here is my question my season recently ended about 2 weeks ago and I have been takign some rest, I start training again here in about a week and for the next bit I will be doing some hypertrophy and I am looking to change my mid/post work out shake.
Right now I use a whey isolate/hydroslate blend mixed with cytomax usually a 1:2 ratio protein to carb that ratio varies depending upon the intesnisty of the workout more intense more carb. My trainign sessions are usually pretty long and along with tryign to shorten them I am looking to throw some bcaa’s in my shake.
My question(s) is how much bcaa’s (grams) should i be throwing in? I weigh 170lbs
Also should I be putting the same amount of bcaa’s in each day or should that vary?
should I not use them on less intense days?
O.k. so I have been doing a little reading and correct me if i’m wrong on this, but according to Jb you want 6g of bcaas/70kilo of body mass.
Now I have also read on the forum that taking more than 20g/day is o.k, so my next question is what other time of the day would you take it? I understand taking it during the WO would the other times be pre WO then POW?
It has been written on the forum to only use bcaa’s for 3/4 of the year I am guessing that you would not be using them during max strength and speed days right?
