I thought his opening 100 looked really good, while he looked flat (for him) over the last 80m or so. Given how infrequently he’s raced this year, his SE is obviously not there yet. Add to that the somewhat mild conditions, a 10min delay in which he stood around doing nothing without his warmups on, and a flu, I think he will be running rather quickly again by worlds, but I don’t think he’s got WR pace in the cards this season.
