Overfat Athlete

nevermind…Thanks for the replys anyway.

How is he a great athlete if he runs a 5.9. He definitely needs to gain tons of strength. I would put him on a pure strength program. How will he make a team if he is that weak and slow. Fullbacks in college are like 230 and run 4.6 40’s. And when they say a bad 40 doesn’t mean you aren’t good they mean the diff. bet a 4.7 and 4.4.

It is amazing how I go into gyms all over the place and hear stories about how knee injuries or back injuries keep people from squatting and deadlifting, but these are the same people who come in and bench three times a week and never seem to have a shoulder problem. These are also the guys who look like upside down triangles and always wear pants in the weight room. Im sorry that this is a little off subject but that kind of stuff pisses me off.

and if his injury is bad enough to stop him DL and squatting how does he think it will withstand football?
