Smith actually does it both ways. It starts out as tempo early (November) then gets faster, more like IT in December, with 200s and 300s SE1/SE mixed with 60s in January for indoors. The Tellez style weeks start later with 4/3/2 or 3/2/1 on Mondays, just like TT.
I need to get after that hammer strength.
In Bolts book he says weights helps him with the last 20m of a 200.
Remember, he said the LAST 20 of a 200, not the first 10 of a 100. He has talked about his weights helping strength-endurance. This is NOT Ben’s weight program or anything even remotely like it.
