Though they only show it for maybe less than a minute, it’s interesting to watch Waldemar in action.

Having met Waldemar, seen him work many times and on myself as well, that is how he does his treatments still. It’s a shaking technique that takes a bit of time but is very gentle and effective.

I know it is highly variable, but how long would he typically linger on a muscle (e.g., hamstring) for the shaking to take effect? Or does he move back and forth between different locations instead of trying to work it all out at once?

I remember Charlie talking about how deep Waldemar could get into a muscle without bruising it and raising enzymes. He once told me on the phone Waldemar had fingers like a gecko (his exact words); he could work his fingers in up to the first knuckle and not cause any pain. That’s skill.

He constantly moves hands to various areas back and forth over and over until he feels the tone is good. T Slow and I have asked him about guys with really high tone. He said it might take several hours. For someone like that, I’d suspect he would also use electro acupuncture first, which does a great job of releasing muscle tension and normalizing muscle tone, and then fine tune it with his hands. His technique is a grab and lift for most areas, combined with rocking back and forth. The gentle shaking also has an effort on peripheral nerves which I have found relaxes the muscles, yet doesn’t cause the nervous system to relax (the feeling after a deep tissue session and you feel sleepy).

That is exactly what it feels like- nothing. A few years ago when I was a mess, I asked him “how come it feels like you aren’t doing anything when I’m on the table, but when I get up I feel great?” He replied with, “Oh I’m right on your bone”- then clasped it gently. He wasn’t kidding; he was bone deep, but it felt literally like nothing!

He is not interested at all in publicity or proving how great he is, which allows lesser talents to stand in the limelight. I can comfortably say I’ve had my guys worked on by some of the most highly regarded people out there, and I can say I’d pick Waldemar over everyone on the planet. He understands high performance athletics. He doesn’t take a ton of appointments, but if he takes you in, he takes you SERIOUSLY. He is committed to helping. I can’t even count the number of times we rolled into Ottawa late due to a snowstorm, and he sees our guys at 11 pm or later. I can’t say enough positive things about him.

Sounds like he really peels the onion one layer at a time, whereas most slice and dice it.

Just checking if anyone has had Waldemar work on them recently. Any insights to add to the above?

I see him as regularly as possible. Every time I go it’s a massive learning experience. Do yourself a favour- if you can get there, go. Spending time with second rate people (especially therapists!) is the most frustrating and useless thing in the universe. Where do you live? I will facilitate an introduction if it helps but you gotta commit to going!

I live in Dallas. I’d love to get up there, but it might be tricky for the foreseeable future for a variety of factors. I’d love to experience it first hand. The massage work Charlie did on me was light years beyond anyone else who has ever worked on me, and Charlie always described his massage skills as Igor level. I can only imagine Waldemar. What I would really like to do is pick his brain as much as possible to figure out methods I can do on myself however limited that might be.
