These guys are saying that the RICE protocol is flawed and that we just need to keep moving (Movement Compression Elevation). Are these guys nuts or are they onto something good?
Completely agree. With the 3 times that I’ve blown my hammy in the past, ice has been a very valuable tool. There’s also been several times where I have a certain muscle group flare up (tfl, psoas, adductor, etc) and applying ice calmed the inflammation down enough to where I was able to train again the next day.
