I find their forums very useful for looking up opinions on supplements and nutrition. Their database is ridiculously large because there are so many users.
Strength is ultimately limited by the size of your muscles. Beginners make strength gains on nearly any load (push-ups would be sufficient load for a beginner to gain strength).
-Focus on compound exercises for 3 sets of 10. Someone posted a good list earlier.
-Try to increase the number of reps or the weight each work out.
-Work out full body 3 times per week.
-Focus on good form
This is real basic, but as a beginner you’ll do well on anything so shoot for simplicity. Eat a lot of protein and try to stick to whole foods, but eat a lot, even if this means cutting some corners. Ten pounds could go a long way towards increasing your strength levels.
